Bluewater's Vegetation Management Module is designed for managing vegetation in any industry where vegetation must be within prescribed tolerances (electrical corridors, road ROW's, pipeline corridors, seismic line corridors, etc).

A LiDAR based inventory is performed to identify the characteristics of vegetation and any other critical features, such as power lines. The criteria for where work should be done is user-defined, including any of the following parameters in any combination:
- Proximity to Electrical Circuits and/or towers
- Height of Vegetation
- Density of Vegetation
- Proximity to roads/streams, etc
These parameters are also used to define the characteristics of the work to be performed; is it single tree falling, mowing, herbicide, etc.

Bluewater Business Solutions algorithms create topographic inventories, vegetation inventories and electrical line positions (as-flown and hot & swayed to NERC standards)

From these detailed inventories and user defined criteria, single-tree and area based work is identified and classified.
The inventory for each treatment unit, span, management unit or operating area can also be viewed and exported, to assist with field operations and contract assessment/bidding.

The inventory for all critical trees (trees which can hit hot & swayed electrical lines) for an operating area. In this inventory CCZ stands for Circuit Clearance Zone and LOA stands for Limits of Approach.
Bluewater Business Solutions LiDAR analysis methods are suitable for 60KV or larger circuits of any configuration. Our vegetation inventorying algorithms are also equipped to 'grow' existing vegetation to allow for long term vegetation management.
Each Treatment Unit identified within Bluewater can be changed to other methods and included or excluded from the estimation process. Users can use default teams or define their own teams and productivity. The estimation system can then be run on the project.
